Hey, I'm a guy like me!!

As most of you who find their way to this page already know, my name is Paresh and I'm a second year law student at A GRADUATE (!!) of Santa Clara University School of Law. I graduated from UC Davis in June 2002 with a BA in Political Science and Economics.

I'm from Union City, CA in the good old bay area. I went college in the Central Valley for 4 years and it sucks in comparison to the bay area. Its way too hot in the summer, way too cold in the winter and the city of Davis in particular has a slight methane smell about it. There, literally, isn't a damn thing in Davis except the university and a Gottschalks. Yes, the Gottschalks opening was a big deal in town because people no longer had to drive to Woodland or Sacramento to buy underwear.

I was meaningfully employed by my Criminal Law professor. I was her research assistant and helped her finish writing her book on death penalty law. After a period of unemployment much longer than I prefer, I found a new job at a place called Vividence in San Mateo. I was assisting the director of contracts administration. It didn't pay, but since I wanted to do corporate/high tech law, it was a great learning experience. UPDATE: In house corporate work is cool, but I'm all about litigation now. Too bad I didn't figure that out a long time ago. In other words, I need a job...bad.
