from Trace Adkins - Honky Tonk Badonkadonk (click for video)
Now Honey, you can’t blame her
For what her mama gave her
It ain’t right to hate her
For workin’ that money-maker
Band shuts down at two
But we’re hangin’ out till three
We hate to see her go
But love to watch her leave
With that honky tonk badonkadonk
Keepin’ perfect rhythm
Make ya wanna swing along
Got it goin’ on
Like Donkey Kong
And whoo-wee
Shut my mouth, slap your grandma
There outta be a law
Get the Sheriff on the phone
Lord have mercy, how’s she even get them britches on
That honky tonk badonkadonk
its like some horrble vendiagram. on one side is rap videos and on the other is country videos and in the very small intersection is honky tonk badonkadonk. the only way it could get worse is if g-unit’s next video was all about them driving tractors and trying to catch greased pigs.
Apple Corps v Apple Computer: judgment in full - Law - Times Online
in case anyone is interested, this is the full opinion in the apple corps. v. apple computer case. in a nutshell: corps (owned by the surviving beatles and yoko) sued computer for violating a previous settlement not sell music by operating the itunes music store. computer argued it wasn’t in violation b/c itunes only sold data. its a novel argument and i thought it was interesting.
Shirley Phelps Roper on Hannity & Colmes via YouTube
its not often sean hannity comes out of a conversation sounding like a reasonable human being….well, as reasonable as one can sound being on fox news. though, as crazy as that lady is, i still question the purpose of even having her on the show. yes, she’s nuts and intolerant and naive and whatever other word you want to use, but they must have known this when they called her up and put a satellite feed in front of her. the only purpose to having her on the show was to berate her. while it was destined to be entertaining as hell, it doesn’t say a whole lot for the journalistic integrity of the show or the network (not that anyone thought fox news had any to begin with). i understand that compared to these people, just about anyone can take the moral high road (even sean hannity) but that high road would seem to require avoiding touting the fact that you have some sort of moral superiority. the sheer ridiculousness of their message and their cause is self-explanatory. unless there was some real reason to believe that having her on the show would advance an actul discourse on the issue, there was no reason to have her on. sure, sean hannity may feel good about himself (not that he ever shouldn’t feel good about himself) and colmes may be happy that he was actually allowed to speak, but was it really worth it to give her five minutes of national airtime?
abc7news.com: New Controversy In Davis Hit And Run Case
what do you get when you put overpaid, underworked cops in a college town? that’s right: a false sense of power and superiority with a definite penchant toward exercising that alleged power as often as possible. i figured this out years ago when i was pulled over twice on my bike (both time with ligths and sirens as if i’m going to take them on a high speed chase on my bike). one was running a stop sign (yes, on my bike) which got me a ticket and once for riding my bike at night with a “dim” bikelight. the second time i was told to either buy new batteries immediately or have my bike impounded.
but this is a whole new level. the best part is that the city council apologized to the cop after he arrested a 17 year old in the middle of the night for a minor fenderbender that she couldn’t have possibly been involved in. of course, i guess the cop is the real victim here.
