so i’m watching the news on the local abc affiliate and they cut to the weird guy that does the weather. now it doesn’t rain here in socal. i think it sprinkled a couple times over the “winter” but that was about it. nevertheless, channel 7 is rocking “abc7 hi-def doppler 7000″. holy crap. i think i just soiled myself due to its sheer awesomeness. the level of clarity with which it can show the total lack of clouds or rain is awe inspiring to say the least and life changing to say the most. how i ever got by with lesser doppler radars is beyond me. its really a miracle that i have managed to survive as long as i have without this miracle of modern meteorology.
anyway, this also reminded me of this hilarious tidbit that someone at the office found:
